Market capitalization or "Market Cap", represents the total market value of a company's outstanding shares of stock. However, we adapted the formula here a bit and actually do an exact calculation by taking the available listings for the item and calculate the Market Cap from that.
How to use it?
You can use the Market cap to your advantage in multiple ways. For instance, if an item has a stable Market Cap, that means that the item is less volatile to price spikes and therefore a mature investment option.
The other way around, if the item has spikes in Market cap, then that can indicate a volatile price which can be beneficial if you like to flip the item.
Generally speaking, if the Market Cap is high then the item also has high velocity. High Velocity = Item gets traded often.
